    Incredible.

I think you did a bad job on the way you expressed in your 1st post. It could have been more subtle and please tell me how things like ''broadcasters not being dedicated to do this'' is something which wont be interpret personal?

This should be a hint that maybe your post is a bit more personal than you would want others to believe.

And yes this is something im saying to offend u because the 3 of you already crossed some big lines here.
"Violeta.. Your voluntary work is unappreciated! Oh and your hobby sucks!"

How can that be not personal?

Please understand we appreciate feedback, tips and tricks and all and even help on location and/or financially wise.. but you can't be this serious about being surprised about us getting personal with adding some of the things you did in your post.

Lumi BTE, Tytanium Sessions, Lumi Beach..
I think, it sounds stupid that they start checking everything during 1st set... and I do not believe it.

We are bummed by it as well that we can't just set stuff up and run a flawless bcast and go out partying without looking back to the laptop.
I agree with this. People responsible for broadcasts can not normally party because of it. You may say it is their choice. Yes, surely it is but it is for us, not for them. They are there and can enjoy it anyway.

Well, to be honest i'm a AH listener since 2008/2009 and i can say the quality of broadcast is pretty good.

The first time i experienced a MAJOR problem was during Tytanium Sessions 100. In my humble opinion, and as IT guy, AH crew knowing the problem with the internet at that exactly venue, should have avoided the broadcast.

Despite this problem, i heard A LOT of live broadcasts without any problems, plus this radio is BY FAR the best in bringing us live Trance events.

Unfortunately, i can't say about Lumi cause i haven't tuned in.

This is a very vague topic to be going public, without knowing the technical things that make up a live broadcast.. let me say again LIVE.

I will not point any fingers at anyone, however please spend next few minutes and understand whats really happening during a live broadcast.

Before AH.FM agrees to any broadcasts, we have a very strict guidelines that MUST be met.. here are just a few points that must be met before we agree.

    • Internet upload speed must be 0.50Mb minimum
    • Organization must get djs approvals for the broadcast
    • a safe place setup for the broadcast to take place.
    • jingles must be played to cover exclusive material

So once these things are met we go with the broadcast. However i will answer to some of the hits someone made in this thread that make us look like we dont know what were doing.

    • Djs move the volume meters up and down hence hard to keep same vol of stream hence its LIVE
    • Internet can break at anytime.. remember its internet, nothing is 100% guaranteed.
    • even tho AH.FM crew is ready to broadcast 30 mins before (NY tytanium sessions ) The dj only got on 20 mins after the hour so we had to wait.
    • cables/mixers/laptops/hardware/ do break, nothing is bullet proof
    • internet speed can fluctuate of the day of broadcast, something we have no control over.
    • dj can disagree being broadcasted live!
    • electricity can fail
    • list goes on and on.... lets not forget its LIVE

So these are just a few things... LIVE broadcasts require many things, and sometimes things go bad and decisions must be taken "tytanium sessions miami" Internet died from their ISP provider ... what else can we do?

Tytanium sessions NY and Montreal were perfect broadcasts, I did them i know they were perfect. Internet was STABLE and streams amazing.

Overall I strongly stand behing AH.FM crew, I know that they give their 100% in every situation, noone wants a bad broadcast, we all do what we can so this community enjoys the streams and has a great time on forums... I will also mention that our successful ratio of quality broadcasts is very high!

Im sorry for writing so much, but I dont like when someone without technical knowledge tries to teach us, while were the only station that specializes in live broadcasts.

Cheers community, & remember with live anything can happen...

I, for sure, have been enlightened about how a live broadcast is organised and made to run smooth. It is surely not the easiest of task..I know that now and thank you..
For luminosity, the broadcast was stopped because the mixer was broken (no one is to be blamed for that)..so we waited until it was fixed..

This is by far the most friendly trance station around, let's keep it this way, people..

Now, it's explained. I thought the main reason was slow internet connection, but now i see that was ISP problems, so yeah, impossible to predict

    My thoughts on this one:

    1) This is a free station, which offers us 24/24 great music, special events (like EOYC, xxxxxxxx in the mix....) and now and then Live Broadcasts.

    2) Emphasing this again: it is all for free!!!

    3) Although I know nothing about the technical specs needed for a live broadcast, I can imagine there is a lot to do and a lot can go wrong.

    4) Respect for the AH-crew who spend their time trying to give us a perfect live broadcast (and who cares if they are getting free entrance and drinks and stuff....)

    So I wonder:

Wouldn't it be a solution not to broadcast live but record the event (like you did for the classic area of Luminosity)? That was a 100% smooth broadcast...

    Peace

Oh my god like srsly no one understood what I said, am I the one who has issues with the english language or what?

    Whatever, it's useless it seems

You all attacked me as If I said u all suck and u do a terrible job and I dunno what else, which is absolutely not true.
Many of you just twirled my words, which is absolutely unbelievable.

Im trying to say something, that might improve the situation and all the set would turn out okay, you all are fighting with me here as if I ate ur ice cream.

Well.. take a deep breath first before talking to anyone the next time, seems u are all very emotional.

    pff

Think about beyond being the one and only.. and being the best

    This is not true.

I tried to point out something to Dan, which can be improved, because YES I was there and I see wuts going on a few times.. and I am sorry but believe me it can be improved.

But since you decide to attack me that why I couldnt care less.. keep on reading the bad comments during a broadcasts (which are always there for some reason).. and do not improve anything just because some random girl tried to "TEACH" u how to do it.. (again ur own interpretation)

And Im sorry I'm sure all of you are aware of how much I support afterhours... I think I've "Paid" to share my opinion.. I guess I haven't

Now I deman on this thread to be closed, because I turns out that I am dealing with little kids who think their toys are the best.
I tried to be polite and respectful but since u are gonna shit on me I am not gonna tolerate that.

You crossed all the lines of respect and forum policies here, doesnt make u a good name.

AND READ AGAIN, since u all seem not to pay attention to that

Technical fails can be predicted and its something that happens.

First you think it's unfair to close this thread. When you notice that no one agrees with you, you want it closed?

No one has said that nothing can be improved, there ARE things that can be improved. And if you would have come with some realistic suggestions, it might actually have been appreciated. You have suggested quite some things that were insulting.

I have read your posts carefully, I am just not agreeing with you (clearly). So now I didn't read it? You're allowed your opinion and others are allowed theirs. You're free to say the things you said, I just think you could have done this in a much more constructive way.

Instead of pointing your finger to everyone who responded, you could have a look at yourself and the way you wrote down your concerns.

Its not abouyt agreeing or not with me cause I don't care if ppl would agree with me or not.
I am not sending my boyfriend to save my ass here u know and I don't even know with what are ur posts related to the topic, besides attacking me directly, so please shut the **** up already. I am not searching for life guidance here from you, my point has nothing to do with that.

Please STOP with the personal attacks here, cause im gettin too sick of it.

I want it closed for reasons I already mentioned. I see how carefully u read

You are becoming pathetic by repeating the same thing over and over. You wont make me regret wut I said, actually its inspiring me to even tell more, because there are too much things Ive kept for myself.

The whole idea of this was one thing.. u totally twirled it in some personal attacks here and I'm not gonna deal with that drama in a forum with thousands of ppl. If you have a problem with me you can find me in FB, Twitter, IRC, MSN, Skype.. wherever ;)

And yes I want this thread closed cause it stopped being related to the problem a very long time ago.

If you wanna show ur "power" here - ok ur choice.. but dont try to make me look bad or anything by telling how drunk I was and If I can or not stand on my legs. Because the ***** look doesnt good on u, remember that.

Really vilence. There are plenty of people who don't like your attitude. and you proved it once again.

Now you are saying that I have sent my gf to save my ass. Where the hell you got that bullshit from? To be honest, she asked me if she could please reply because she find your post ridiculous. Also sentence I quoted is another prove of you don't knowing how to express anything in the right way.

Oh come girl, I don't have any power here, don't want to either.
Thing is that I care for many of the ppl who are involved in the broadcasts and I think it's incredibly wrong how you handled this.

Now, mentioning your status at Lumi was not the smartest thing to do. Considering the way you are responding to any of the replies, I don't regret it.
My first remark was below the belt, all the rest was related to your post and to the issues with the broadcasts. If you don't want to respond to THAT, then fine. I am not wasting my time anymore.

It would be a shame to lock this topic, since others than you (or me), apparently, do have something to say too.
