RP-DH 1200 rly good headphones, I also use them. Main disadvantage - they are very heavy but sound is perfect ;)
I Want Them For Djing...
And I Think So The RP-DH 1200 Are the best choice...i was thinking RP-DH 1200 or STANTON DJ PRO-3000.....![]()
Pioneer and Technics have some great headphones for DJ, they are a bit expansive sometimes tho.
You should test for isolation and specially mobility and comfort.
It's a very personal choice, it depends of what you most like.
For example, i like mobility.
You can read some professional reviews here![]()
I do not live in the world of sobriety.
I've got the Technics RP-DH1200 and HDJ-2000 from Pioneer. I think the pioneer is a bit more comfortable to use, but I can recommand them both
I've got a pair of STANTON DJ PRO 2000 and they are still bringing the crystal clear soundReally satisfying quality, really comfortable, might be cheaper than the 3000-edition

Icke Wieder!
I'd go with Pioneer (that's just me)... Technics have problems with high frequencies. In the end though, its what you feel comfortable with.
I've also been looking for a pair of real good head phones, but mainly just for plugging into an ipod and listening. What would you guys recommend? Oh and most importantly, a price range.
Personally I use the Sony MDR-V700's. The pioneer 2000's have a much looser fit and I like the way the MDR's stay a little more glued to my head or in the position I want them to be in while I'm mixing. The Pioneer 1000's also are widely renowned for lacking in the build quality department. Just go back and read Markus Schulz's blog from sometime around last spring. He broke like four pairs or something ridiculous in the space of two months. Don't get me wrong, they are great headphones but due to the way they are constructed around the ear cup I know a TONNE of people who have broken theirs. I have been using the MDR's for several years now. I play in clubs multiple times per week and am on my second pair of headphones only because I ran the last pair right into the ground. Great headphones, at a much better price point and will stand up to the demands of playing in the clubs.
Just my $0.02.
I suggest Sennheiser HD 25-1 II![]()
I tested the Technics RP DH1200, Sony MDR V700, Sennheiser HD25 and Pioneer HDJ 1000. The Pioneer had the worst sound quality and fits not very confortable. The Sennheiser had a realy nice sound but, it doesn't like the small pads. And the Technics and Sony are fits both nice and good sound, but i'd prefer the Technics because it's fits better and i like the sound more than the Sony one. ;)
