Ashley Wallbridge makes his debut at 'Mixmag Trance Club of the Year' Digital Society as we celebrate 3 years in the business on a truely epic scale at the spectacular O2 Academy Leeds... The party in 2010 not to be missed!




Ashley Wallbridge is one of the brightest stars in the UK‘s dynamic pool of emerging DJs/Producers. His talent is now clearly recognised and has had unquestionably one of the biggest hits this year with ‘Faces'. The collaboration with Andy Moor ft Meighan Nealon has gathered immense global attention, dominating all download charts and even receiving the full video treatment. Productions such as 'Faces', ‘Harrier', 'My Blood', 'Spitfire', 'I believe', ‘Solidaritet', 'Chimera', 'Harmonies' and many others have firmly entrenched Ash into the producers upper class with the DJ elite including Ferry Corsten and Marcus Schulz demanding his remix touch.

Ash's growing reputation has been reflected in his global touring schedule. From Argentina to China, his deft touch and unique remixing style has been astounding the crowds worldwide. The debut solo album is the next chapter in this amazing story but definitely not the last.

The Event

'Mixmag Trance Club of the Year' Digital Society celebrates 3 years in the business on a truely epic scale at the spectacular O2 Academy Leeds. Global Superstar SANDER VAN DOORN (#10 DJ Mag Top100) lands in Leeds to headline one of the premium dates in the UK clubbing diary. The recent massive success of hit releases 'Ninety', 'Bastillion' and Bilksem', the huge Identity Podcast, the continued success of Doorn Records and a tour diary that is unrivalled - SvD is considered one of the elite artists in todays world dance scene.

Supporting Sander on the roster is Irish maestro JOHN O'CALLAGHAN (#24), Eygptian duo ALY & FILA (#22) and rising star ASHLEY WALLBRIDGE. Completing the main event program is DS residents Enhanced boss WILL HOLLAND, Rav Takhar & Paul Pearson - with Garuda's Adam Flexer, Godskitchen's Steve Arnold, Che Armstrong of Neuroscience and up&coming talents Intertek, Med & Neil Bamford and Harry Fowler joining the party in the Invitation concept room.

The O2 Academy provides the very best in sound and production that Leeds has to offer and with respected VJ Steve G at the helm, the event promises to be a real supershow. The main arena is a true ampitheatre and having already played host to the likes of David Guetta and Orbital in the past 12 months, is the perfect stage for dance icon Sander van Doorn and the celebration of Digital Society's 3rd Birthday.

The History

Digital Society launched in February 2007 as a forward-thinking monthly dance event, and since then has evolved into one of the UK's leading Trance brands. Sell-out crowds at Leeds most intimate venue MyHouse, and blockbusting lineups blending the biggest stars in Trance & Progressive with the finest emerging Producer DJs have been very much the Digital Society signature.

The Trance scene's finest have graced the DS decks in the last 3 years including the likes of big hitters Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate, Menno de Jong, Andy Moor and Sean Tyas - and with a crowd that is considered one of the most knowlegdable in the scene - its the collective vibe of the night that clubbers and DJ'S speak of alike. On top of Digital Society's renowed main events 2009 also saw the awesome Victoria Works warehouse party with Judgement Sundays and DS tours right across the UK in citys including London, Derby and Sheffield.

2009 also the launch of Digital Society Recordings and the release of 2 highly acclaimed Mixmag 'album of the month' awarded mix compilations - DS International vol 1 mixed by Matt Hardwick (march09) and DS International vol 2 mixed by John Askew (november09).

With 2010 shaping up to be another massive year for Digital Society, The DS 3rd Birthday at the O2 Academy Leeds with the man Sander van Doorn kicks things off in typically epic style!

Must say, this was such a real party! venue is great, in the heart of the city centre, well organized, and the crowd was the best.

for me, the party started with Ashley Wallbridge, absolutely banging set! followed by Sander Van Doorn, which I had to skip him, because the area was crowded and 3 hours of (banging) progressive is too much for me.

Went down to the other room which was like trance heaven, quieter, warmer and tranczy! it was very nice to see Med & Neil Bedford and acknowledge the greatness of their recent works, and also meeting Paul Pearson with his AH T-Shirt.

Party continued with John O'Callaghan, Fila and finally Rav Takhar till 6AM.

I walked out of the party with new friends from Leeds and Ireland,who I will see them again in Leeds, also had a good company on the train back to Liverpool.
