Global Gathering (Brisbane, Australia)

Last Saturday 29th of November, my friends & I went to Global Gathering. The event which is usually unique to other parts of world came "down-under" and toured Australia. Performers included the likes of Above & Beyond, Kraftwerk, ATB, DJ Sneak, Sasha, plus a swag of local talent hitting the decks.

Here are some pics from the event - I am (of course) the one in the AH.FM t-shirt.

The event was held at Doomban racecourse, which is an excellant venue for big events. I was here earlier this year for Future Music Festival, where I got to see Markus Schulz.

We got to the event right when it opened.....

Once we got in - the first act I wanted to see was Above & Beyond. We've had lots of rain due to the summer weather lately - so the grounds were soft and moist. Some area's were roped off because they were too muddy.

As the sun went down - that's when the event really started to kick off. More and more people started turning up.

That was the last festival for me in 2008. However on Janurary 3rd I'm going to Summerfieldayze to see Armin van Burren, Ferry Corsten and Underworld perform live. Then after that, I'm back at Future Music Festival to see Markus Schulz & Oakenfold! 2009 is gonna be a great year!
